Imagine, explore, and discover SEVERE WEATHER at this Super SciTech Saturday! The museum will be open 10am – 5pm.

Maker Moments are hands-on projects you can take home, available for an additional fee. The activities this month, pictured above, include Raindrop Suncatchers, Thunder Sticks, and an Anemometer!

Check out a Thunder Stick in action!

The anemometer is a common instrument in a weather station. If you want to add on, SciTech suggests:

barometer is used to measure atmospheric pressure, used especially in forecasting the weather and determining altitude.

A wind vane is an instrument for showing the direction of the wind.

A rain gauge helps to accurately measure the amount of precipitation.

Super SciTech Saturday is the last Saturday of the month. Up to four child admissions are FREE with a paying adult. Sorry, no coupons, Groupons, or other offers may be used on Super SciTech Saturdays.
