February’s Super SciTech Saturday theme is HEALTHY ME! Come discover how the human body works and to explore some of its systems on Saturday, February 24, 2018! Several local health care providers will be at SciTech with Hands On activities as well as screenings.
Heartland Blood Center’s Mobile Coach will be at SciTech from 11:00am – 2:00pm. Schedule an appointment to donate by visiting www.heartlandbc.org or contact Ian McCleary at 630-859-3434 ext. 230. Walk in donors are always welcomed too.
“Oftentimes, saving a life is just a matter of making the time to come in to donate,” says Amy Smith, director of donor recruitment at Heartland Blood Centers. “If donors are willing to schedule just one hour to donate blood, it can make a huge impact on someone’s life.”
Children can also do some Hands On discovery of the human body as they visit stations throughout the museum. Explore x-rays, imagine the different jobs that blood does, and explore dental health and receive a goody bag from Delta Dental Group. Stay tuned for more details about our healthy activities!
Admission for Super SciTech Saturday is FREE for children (up to 4 children admissions with a paying adult). Purchase a Healthy Me! wrist band for $5 to participate in the activities.
