2018 SciTech Nano Summer Camps

SciTech Nano Summer Camps

Nano SciTech Summer Camps allow children ages 3-5 years old the opportunity to imagine, explore, and discover the world around them. SciTech teachers are dedicated, professionally trained teachers who encourage creativity, promote discovery, and support individual learning styles. Within each weekly theme, Hands On activities, experiments, projects and field experiences are presented to your small scientist. Our Nano Summer Camps are capped at 12 campers.

Each camp is three days (Tuesday – Thursday) from 9AM to 12PM.

Our 2018 Summer Adventure Camps will explore the same topics through a variety of Hands On activities and challenges appropriate for the grade levels.

June 19 - 21: Storybook STEAM

Imagine classic storybooks coming alive through STEAM! This camp will explore the connections that beloved children’s books have to the worlds of Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math. Campers will have the opportunity to apply problem solving and higher level reasoning skills with Hands On learning. Explore a variety of science concepts from chemistry to physics in an interactive learning environment.

June 26 - 28: Petite Programmers

Programming isn’t just for “the big kids” anymore! In this camp, little learners will be able to discover the world of technology! Campers will learn how people use technology to communicate with robots in everyday tasks. Children will also explore coding concepts through hands on exploration with Osmo: Coding and Scratch Jr.

July 10 - 12: Built It Up! Knock It Down!

How can buildings stand so tall and not fall over? How do bridges hold up cars and trucks?  Discover how engineers imagine, plan, and construct the world around us.  Campers will have an opportunity to learn and apply the engineering process to a variety of engineering problem solving activities.  Campers will create their own structures to take home!

July 17 - 19: Surrounded By Shapes

Look around you! The world is full of different shapes and patterns. Campers will explore downtown Aurora and search for shapes and patterns. Develop and create your own patterns in a variety of hands on activities. Fabricate your own 3D shape projects to take home and display!
